Keeping you informed, encouraged & inspired.
It's my natural tendency to welcome each new month with exuberance. However this month I'm struggling to find my enthusiasm. As I type this, there's war in Europe. It feels like I'm writing those words from a past life, not my current one. As if I woke up in the wrong decade. It's disconcerting to say the least. I know I'm not alone in feeling this way. When I tune into the collective energy it feels heavy, agonizing, and terrifying. Those energies are BIG and can easily seep into our personal energetic fields. To keep yourself from feeling overwhelmed, it's important to regularly cleanse and protect your personal energy. This blog post offers advice and techniques on how to do that. It also feels important to remember the Universal Laws this month, specifically the Law of Attraction and the Law of Action. The Law of Attraction states that our thoughts, feelings, words, and actions produce energies which, in turn attract like energies. Negative energies attract negative energies and positive energies attract positive energies. With this in mind, a positive attitude is exactly what's needed right now. There is enough negativity and anger in the world--we don't need to add to it. Keeping our spirts high and our thoughts focused on peace and unity will attract more of those energies. The Law of Action states states that we must take action in our lives to see changes happen. Every action we take creates a result. The law of action also says that if we do nothing, then nothing will happen. With that in mind, I encourage each of us to take action towards world peace this month. That could look like volunteering, donating, organizing, or speaking out against war and injustice. Even the smallest action makes an impact. I've included a button below if you feel called to donate to help those in Ukraine. Together let's keep our personal energy protected, our thoughts positive, and our actions in motion this month. May there be peace on earth. With a grateful heart, Kristen

RECIPES FROM THE HEART Cooking has always felt magical to me. You take a bunch of stuff, that on its own isn't very interesting, mix it together, and create something new and divine. That's energy. That's alchemy. That's magic.
Green Goddess Cabbage Salad
There's a really good reason this salad is a TikTok sensation--because it's SO GOOD!!! If you haven't tried it yet, trust me, it's crazy good. And while there's contentious debate online, personally I love the idea of scooping it up with tortilla chips. Yum! The recipe makes a lot so it's great for a gathering. Ingredients: 1 small head of green cabbage, diced 1 bunch of green onions, diced 1 cucumber, finely diced 1/4 cup diced chives 1 cup fresh basil 1 cup spinach 1 shallot, peeled 2 garlic cloves, peeled 1/3 cup nutritional yeast 1/4 cup olive oil 1/4 cup walnuts 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar 1 teaspoon sea salt Directions:
Combine the chopped cabbage, green onions, cucumbers, and chives in a large mixing bowl. Toss to combine.
Add the basil, spinach, shallot, garlic, nutritional yeast, olive oil, nuts, lemon juice, rice wine vinegar, and sea salt in a blender or food processor.
Blend for 2 minutes or until the herbs and spinach have broken down and the mixture is combined.
Add the dressing to the chopped cabbage bowl and toss to combine.
Serve with optional tortilla chips, pita chips, or pita bread; or serve on its own as a side salad.
Did You Know?
DISTANCE REIKI WORKS JUST AS WELL AS IN PERSON It can be difficult to understand how Distance Reiki works because energy is not tangible and cannot be seen. Science tells us that everything is energy, and energy is not bound by time or space. Therefore energy can be channeled to anyone, anywhere. This explains why Distance Reiki is equally as effective as in person Reiki, with the same healing benefits. Learn more about both Distance and In Person Reiki online here.
